Over 6,000 Vulnerable Constituents In Lagos East Senatorial District Receive Senator Tokunbo Abiru Food Packs The Chairman, Senate Committee on Banking, Insurance and other Financial Institutions, Distinguished Senator Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru, FCA on Saturday distributed over 6,000 Food Packs to vulnerable members of the society in the Lagos East Senatorial District. It will be recalled that the Senator representing Lagos East Senatorial District launched the quarterly Food Packs Programme in June, 2023. This is the second edition of the well applauded programme targeted at vulnerable people, namely; widows, unemployed youth, aged,women and People living with disabilities are drawn across the 98 wards in the 16 Local Government  Areas and Local Council Development areas of the district. Constituents trooped out enmasse to various collections in Ikorodu, Epe, Ibeju-Lekki, Somolu and Kosofe LGAs to collect the Food Packs containing:Goldenvita, Semo Vita, Garri,Pure Soya Oil,

Bus Driver Arrested For Stabbing LASTMA Officer In Lagos* Operatives of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority have arrested a commercial bus driver for stabbing a LASTMA officer after being apprehended for serious traffic obstruction around Costain in Lagos on Sunday. This was disclosed in a statement released by the LASTMA Director, Public Affairs, Adebayo Taofiq, on Sunday. The driver, whose name was not disclosed, was apprehended for picking passengers on the main expressway thereby causing serious traffic obstructions to other road users around Costain inward Iponrin in Lagos. The driver was reported to have made "dangerous driving attempts to escape before he brought out knife and stabbed" the officer. "After seeing the deep cut he had inflicted with the knife, he decided to stripped himself naked and caused serious commotions before he was eventually arrested by Police men from Iponri Police Station," the

The youths in Kosofe Community displayed football artistry at the final of the maiden edition of the Chairman's Cup sponsored by the Executive Chairman of Kosofe Local Government, Barrister Moyosore Ogunlewe, held at Emmanuel Primary School, Ojota. The football thriller was witnessed by the Hon. Member House of Representatives, Kosofe Federal Constituency, Hon. Alhaja Kafilat Ogbara, Hon. member representing Kosofe Constituency 1, Hon. Ganiyu Sanni Okanlawon who is also a soccer enthusiast; Hon. Member representing Mushin1, Hon. Ayinde Nureni Akinsanya (OSMAK); Hon. Mrs. Olajumoke Animawun, Assistant Secretary Lagos APC chapter; Party Chairman, Kosofe LGA, Alhaji Kehinde Bello; SLG, Hon. Fatai Gbadebo; Chief of Staff, Hon. By Kehinde Dare In my earlier article, l chronicled the unquantified and glistening achievements of Hon. Moyosore Adedoyin Ogunlewe's  2 years in office. Let me reappraise the achievements with a view to opening an avenue for the assignments to be done in the second half of this Administration reign of eudaimonia  and unspeakable happiness in the lives of the good people of Kosofe. While others are still savouring the joy of their achievements in office for the past two years , Moyo is still very busy on the battle field of work, trying to tie and tidy up all loose ends so as not to leave unfinished assignments. Barr. Moyosore Ogunlewe has put balm on the bruises of displaced Persons at Oworoshoki area of the local government when he distributed Money, foodstuffs and other Items to over 1,000 households. Barrister Moyosore Ogunlewe is set to launch free shuttle buses for the residents of kosofe local government Area. Governor Sanwo-Olu Flags Off Food Palliatives, Targets 500,000 Vulnerable Households  The Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Sunday flagged off the distribution of food items for 500,000 vulnerable households in the state to cushion the effect of fuel subsidy removal. Speaking during the exercise at the Lagos State House, Alausa, Ikeja, the governor said that the strategic goal of the programme was to reach vulnerable households in the state with staple food items, using two methodologies. He said that under the category one, groups would receive bulk food items including 50kg rice, 50kg Garri and 100kg of beans. He said that category two, individual vulnerable households would receive food boxes which consist of 10kg rice, 5kg garri and 5kg Beans. “I stand before you all today, deeply aware of the challenges that many Lagosians have been facing with regards to the sharp increases in transportation cost and the prices of essential food items across the state
