MAO...Sustaining the legacies of excellence for all KOSOFEANS....

...... Setting agenda for the 2nd half.

In my earlier article, l chronicled the unquantified and glistening achievements of Hon. Moyosore Adedoyin Ogunlewe's  2 years in office.

Let me reappraise the achievements with a view to opening an avenue for the assignments to be done in the second half of this Administration reign of eudaimonia  and unspeakable happiness in the lives of the good people of Kosofe.

While others are still savouring the joy of their achievements in office for the past two years , Moyo is still very busy on the battle field of work, trying to tie and tidy up all loose ends so as not to leave unfinished assignments. For instance, he led the coterie of the Council officials to embark on street to street Canals and drainages clearing known  as desilting..

The environmental exercise was undertaken to act as a checkmate to flood disaster coming from rain. 

The desitling  of drainages and canals ran across the councils from Adebayo mokuolu, Ajike Faramobi, Miyaki, Gafar Balogun, Bush to other refuse filled drainages in other Streets and  communities in the council.

MAO had equally sand filled Miyaki street, a sprawling riverine road at Oworonshoki.

The ebullient Chairman has also stretched his arm of good gestures to education sector where he commissioned a renovated Mosafejo Primary school, just as he had collaborated with the state government and other international agencies to carry out operation kick out polio in Kosofe, an health care programme designed for all babies within the age bracket of 0-5 years. He had also engaged community leaders in consultation  and constructive engagement with a view to further developing other infrastructure facilities. Moyo has within the short space of two years, etched his name on the rock of achievements, no wonder he had garnered a deluge of awards from various organizations, These awards it was said was in recognition of his sterling performances, quality representation and selfless service which in a summary, made Kosofe to be re designed.

These accomplishments will now be used as parameter to set ball rolling for the next two years agenda.

This writer suggested a communication tool for the Council as Community Radio to air the views of people on their feels on the good work of the council and other issues which are germaine to human development with other sundry issues.

The radio should be complemented with community Newspapers.

The Council can upgrade its revenue base by embarking on commercial ventures. A private burial ground and morgues (Mortuary) can be constructed here in Kosofe to be commercialized, Kosofe Shuttles fleet are buses that can be bought to run on commercial ventures within and outside the councils.

On the welfare side. The council should upgrade all its market to accommodate more traders  and rebuild palaces of all the traditional rulers

On the education front, School children should be given free schools uniforms and other stationeries to assist parents and guardians.

There are other welfare packages for the people of Kosofe especially the unemployed youths. Skills acquisition centres can be built within the Secretariat or in other outlets where these army of youths can be trained on Photography, Computer. Barbing, catering and so on .

The council can set them up after completion of the training through empowerment programme that should form the next items on the Council's agenda.
