Eko Akete Cooperative holds 58th AGM Eko Akete (Mainland) Cooperative Society limited mid-week held its 58th Annual General Meeting. The event, which complied with the ongoing COVID-19 protocol, took place at the Gabriel Orororo Multipurpose Hall, Ikotun Lagos, and had fewer members, mostly executives and representatives, in attendance, while other members followed proceedings online. President of the society, Oloto Lateef Olubodun, explained that this year’s meeting unavoidably came late because of the prevailing COVID-19 atmosphere. JUST IN: Sanwo-Olu Vows To Investigate Exploitation Of Residents By Security Officers Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Sunday vowed to immediately take action to address reports of exploitation of residents by some security officers. The Governor, in a statement, said the reports to that effect were worrying, and that prompt action would be taken to redress the situation. According to the Governor, "The safety of our residents is my number one duty as the Chief Security Officer of Lagos state.  "So, reading reports of seemingly unlawful exploitation by the people charged with the duty to protect the people is very worrying and needs to be addressed immediately.  "Be assured that appropriate actions will be taken, and speedily too."
