HON. YINKA RABIU GIVES DAD A COLOURFUL FAREWELL.
The prestigious Eko club along Bode Thomas street, Surulere was aglowed with a gathering of crème de la crème on Thursday, as eminent Nigerians which included politicians from various wards, party Leaders, foreign diplomats, well wishers, among others, thronged the venue of the 8th Day Fidau prayers for the repose of late Alhaji Chief Musendiq Atanda Rabiu, father of a former House of Assembly & chairmanship aspirant, Kosofe LG., Hon. Olayinka Rabiu (Whitee).
Alhaji Rabiu died on December 29, 2022, aged 86, and was buried the same day at Vault and Garden, Ikoyi.
Meantime, various Muslim clerics who offered prayers and gave sermons at the well attended event, preached on the need for men to make humility their watchword even as they urged Nigerian leaders and all those in positions of authority as well as those still alive to emulate the life of service to humanity as exemplified by the late octogenarian.
Other dignitaries who attended the 8th day Fidau prayers were, the House of Assembly Member representing Kosofe Constituency 1, Hon. Sanni Ganiyu Babatunde Okanlawon, Assistant Secretary, Lagos State, All Progressive Congress, Hon. Mrs. Olajumoke Animawun, the representatives of the Executive Chairman, Kosofe Local Government, Mr. Akintona, Chief of Staff, Mr. Akinyemi Abiona, Special Adviser on Special Duties, Mr. Alufohai Omokhudu; Chief Press Secretary to the Executive Chairman, Comrade Taiwo Fadipe;
Erstwhile House of Representatives aspirant, Engr. Abiodun Owokoya Cheche; former Vice Chairman, Kosofe local government, Hon. Omotuyi Awosola; former woman leader Kosofe LGA, Chief (Mrs) Victoria Olowoyo; Dr. Tunde Osinowo, Tinubu National Frontier (TNF) Executives, Lagos State Chapter, Team Whytee Executives, Party members, among numerous others.
The well attended event was spiced by the sonorous music of Faith Music Band, a Nigerian Gospel Musician and songwriter who displayed his musical prowess to the delight of the celebrants and their guests who trooped to the dancing floor. .
