*COMMUNITY PROTECTION: Kosofe Indigents Receive Free Legal Support As Granted By Sofola*
In a bid to assist vulnerable persons battling with any form of Legal/Psycho-social matters, out of cheer Civic Responsibility function; *Children and community Protection Network (CCPN)* in conjunction with *Rights Enforcement & Public Law Centre (REPLACE)* conducted a *Free Legal Clinic* to Indigents of Kosofe Local Government held on Thursday, 10th September, 2020 at Kosofe Council.

Alhaji Awofeso Rasheed who is also the coordinator of Child Protection Network , kosofe Chapter said; "The program is to help the downtrodden in the society to obtain justice in all sphere of endeavors despite their pecuniary position in the society"

 "The legal Aids council is fully ready to assist in this regards. Today clinic is the 2nd of its kind. Respite has started coming to the ways of the vulnerable. All this is made possible courtesy of Rights Enforcement & Public Law Centre( REPLACE) in conjunction with Children & Community Protection Network"

Meeting  held with the kosofe Local government executive Chairman, Hon. Afolabi Sofola, before the Free Legal Clinic; Barr. Adaora of Legal Aid council in attendance.

In a briefing with Kosofe Media, the Legal Practitioner, Mrs. Adaora Onyedike, reiterated the core value of the free legal advisory to help people at the grassroot levels. In her words; 

"It is a programme brought to the grassroots whereby we come to the communities and then meet with the indigent who cannot afford the services of Lawyers. So we come here, we hear their complaints and know how to attend to them" 

"So we give legal advise and if it is a matter that has to go to Court, we assist them and present them to Court for plea. We are actually from the legal council of Nigeria, so we are everywhere. No only in Kosofe Local Government, we also go to other Local Government Areas across States in Nigeria. We have support from (Replace) and others" 

Describing how Kosofe Local Government has been hospitable since the commencement, Mrs. Adaora commended the Council boss- Hon. Sofola and the entire Council having created an enabling environment:

"I will say Kofose  Local Government Chairman, Hon. Afolabi Sofola and the Council have been very corporative in making this a reality. We have seen that they are people who have the interest of their people at heart. Since we started, the population has been supportive, we thank them for that"

OGUNLEWE'S AIDE, FUNSHO SAMAGBEYI, BURIES FATHER IN-LAW IN DELTA STATE. The father-in-law of the Senior Special Assistant on  Health to Hon. Barr. Moyosore Ogunlewe was on Saturday buried in his hometown at the Frederick-Ishie Residence, Along Frederick-Ishie Crescent Umutu , Ukwuani Local Government Area of Delta State. The late Mr. Frederick O. Ishie  who died on 20th day of August 2023 at the age of 70 years, was the father of Dr.Mrs. Samagbeyi.    The late Frederick served as the general manager (Technical) of the Insurance Powerhouse, Standard Insurance Consultants.  Late Fred is an associate member of the Institute of Commercial Management Berkshire England and also an executive member of American Institute of Management, Boston.
