The United African Methodist Church Cathedral Headquarters, Oke - Arin on lagos island was a beehive of activities as score of Church worshippers, relatives, friends, colleagues, local government chairmen, Management, NULGE and political leaders thronged the Church Auditorium to praise worship and thank God for the accomplishments of the Executive Chairman, Kosofe Local Government, Hon.(Barrister) Moyosore Adedoyin Ogunlewe on his 100 days in Office.
The Thanksgiving service which he was the Chairman, was the Annual Harvest of Songs and Award presentation which was the third in the series of triple services of the Church which had Children and Adult harvest.
The special ceremony with a theme " Harvest of Praise" which was officiated by the Bishop of Oke - Arin circuit, Right Reverend M. O. Olajide had in attendance, Primate of UAMC, organization worldwide, His Eminence, Most Reverend, Joseph Adedayo Ojaoba (JP) and other clergy men.
Speaking eloquently during his opening remarks, the elated Chairman paid a special tribute to his general mentor and godfather, Dr. Akinola Ogunlewe who paid for his nomination form when he made his foray into politics in 2014. He also thanked immensely Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his assistance so far, reminding that the APC National leader was present at his graduation ceremony in University of Buckingham United Kingdom.
He said the primary reason of coming to the Church was to thank God Almighty for His Mercies, protection and guidance for the eventful 100 days in office which was celebrated with pomp and pageantry
Speaking further, the Chairman admitted that the 100 days have been turbulent, thought-provoking and highly rewarding, addition that the Administration has been able to record modest achievements that touched the lives the people at the grassroot which was the purpose of being in the Government, Ogunlewe said that the modest achievements would not have been possible but for Almighty God, the Author and the finisher of all good things who he said was worthy of praises and adulations.
Ogunlewe added that as part of his deepest appreciation to God, he would have a private discussion with the Church to know the area of urgent needs he would intervene, enjoining the Church to continually pray for his Council and Lagos State in general particularly, the Governor, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwoolu for the good work he is doing.
The service of Songs was spiced with various indigenous hymns rendered with cheery voices of the Church Choristers.
As part of the Thanksgiving ceremony, friends and relatives donated generously to the church while the church presented portrait and shield to the Chairman in appreciation of his being the Chairman of the harvest..
