OGUNLEWE HANDS OVER COMMISSIONED ROADS TO THE COMMUNITIES... .........warns against misuse and refuse dump.       As a way of crowning his efforts and ensuring that the promise made is a promise kept, the Executive Chairman, Kosofe Local Government, Hon. (Barrister) Moyosore Ogunlewe has finally commissioned five roads he reconstructed at Oworonshoki and ifako axis of the Council. The commissioned roads are Awanatu/Baale close and Ogundairo Streets at Oworonshoki. While Aran orin and Julius Kadiri were  the luckier streets at Ifako. The elated residents of ifako,Gbagada and Soluyi were full of joy as the councillor representing Ward C, Hon. Femi Onashile began the gale of cutting the tapes at Julius Kadri street, while the former Sole Administrator of Kosofe, Hon. Gbemi Ketiku cut the tape for Aran orin street. In his short speech at the  ifako ceremony,  the Council Chairman said it was the promise made that was eventually fulfilled. He

PRESS RELEASE KOSOFE  SENIOR CITIZENS GET FREE MEDICAL SCREENING. Community Sense, a Non Government Organization has given succour to the elderly in Kosofe by underwriting their medical screening under their "Free Medical Outreach". This year which is the 4th edition with theme " Caring for the seniors" had in attendance Medical Doctors from Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) Idi Araba and Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, (LASUTH), Ikeja. The Community Sense Foundation invited foremost dental outfit, First Mobile Dental Services from Yaba with the team leader, Dentist Tunji who attended to dental issues while those with eyes challenges were attended to by the team of optometrists led by Dr. Promise. SANWO-OLU COMMISSIONS NETWORK OF NINE ROADS WITH BRIDGE IN KOSOFE •To flag-off Opebi-Ojota Link Bridge in January •APC Leader names Sanwo-Olu "Infrastructure Governor" In fulfilment of his administration’s resolve to provide the necessary infrastructure for sustainable development in every part of Lagos State, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Monday commissioned a network of nine roads with a bridge within Soluyi Community in Kosofe Local Government Area of the State.  The Governor said the commissioning of the nine roads with a total length of 2.840km, including a bridge, which will serve a population of more than 300,000 people, within the Soluyi-Araromi-Ifako-Gbagada communities, demonstrated the topmost priority that his government accords the welfare and well-being of the people of Lagos, in line with the vision of a Greater Lagos. Jemimah Marcus, a 17-year old student of Angus Memorial Secondary School in Somolu presided over the State Executive Council meeting as the one-day Governor of Lagos State today. Jemimah, an indigene of Edo State won the 2020 edition of the state Spelling Bee Competition. The Spelling Bee Competition started about two decades ago to groom our students and prepare them for greater success in their educational pursuit. I am delighted to say that the competition has been achieving its desired vision and objectives. The organisers will follow up on Jemimah’s endeavour to ensure she acquires the right leadership skills and becomes a responsible citizen of Nigeria. I accepted the request of our one-day Governor that government should make more investment in education and human capital development. As a government we are a lready doing that and we will continue to do m ore.

PRAISES AND DEMANDS, AS KOSOFE CONVEYS PRE-BUDGET FORUM..... ...... Scores throng Galaxy hall to present needs.....  The Sprawling Galaxy Events Hall oñ Emmanuel High Street, Ogudu was filled to capacity as people from diverse background living in Ojota, Ogudu, Anthony, Mende, Oworoshoki and other Communities in Kosofe Local Government took their seats to praise the good work of the New Chairman, Barrister Moyosore Ogunlewe who had touched their various  communities with the little available resources at the disposal of the Council and make their inputs in form of demands into the year 2022 pre- budget discussion.   In his keynote address, the Chairman welcomed all the Community leaders, faith based organizations, Security Officials, Traditional rulers and other Stakeholders.
