PRAISES AND DEMANDS, AS KOSOFE CONVEYS PRE-BUDGET FORUM.....

 The Sprawling Galaxy Events Hall oñ Emmanuel High Street, Ogudu was filled to capacity as people from diverse background living in Ojota, Ogudu, Anthony, Mende, Oworoshoki and other Communities in Kosofe Local Government took their seats to praise the good work of the New Chairman, Barrister Moyosore Ogunlewe who had touched their various  communities with the little available resources at the disposal of the Council and make their inputs in form of demands into the year 2022 pre- budget discussion.
  In his keynote address, the Chairman welcomed all the Community leaders, faith based organizations, Security Officials, Traditional rulers and other Stakeholders.
He said he was very delighted to be part of the August gathering, the maiden edition since being elected the Chairman of the Council where  the people Representatives and the Government would sit at the round table to  fashion out issues  that are germaine to  development of the Council. He explained that the Budget is an estimate of what to spend, not the actual money itself. The purpose of the meeting is to allow the Community  come up with their various inputs so as to have the knowledge and the Dynamics of the Government.
Ogunlewe, further added that the demands should be moderate and within the resource  of the council.
He  appealed to people also to fulfil their  civic responsibilities by paying their rates, taxes and other financial obligations, as these were the sources for financing all their demands. He also enjoined the Corporate organizations to key into Council financial obligations by paying their bills at when due.
In her presentation, the Head of Department Budget, Mrs Adeshina explained that  the Council has two main financial sources, Federal Allocation whose variables could not be controlled because of intervening factors and internally generated revenue (IGR) which was within the control of the council. She said all the beautiful infrastructures being provided were done through the rates and bills being paid She appealed to those service providers to pay up their rates and taxes as these are used mainly for Capital Expenditures
The Council treasurer, Mr.Ojikutu also spoke in similar vein and appealed for more cooperation.
Other presenters as  the Council Engineer and Medical Officers thanked the Chairman for the provision of infrastructures and medical facilities. The Medical Officer, Dr. Oguntoyinbo said the Chairman had made provision for comprehensive medical needs particularly, Ambulance he purchased which would be oprassional by next year,. She said for the use of the Ambulance, people should dial 09093000011.
At the various presentations, Community Development Associations and Committees represented various Communities whose demands include roads reconstruction, Provision of water, Canal decongestion, lights, and provision of Markets.

OGUNLEWE'S AIDE, FUNSHO SAMAGBEYI, BURIES FATHER IN-LAW IN DELTA STATE. The father-in-law of the Senior Special Assistant on  Health to Hon. Barr. Moyosore Ogunlewe was on Saturday buried in his hometown at the Frederick-Ishie Residence, Along Frederick-Ishie Crescent Umutu , Ukwuani Local Government Area of Delta State. The late Mr. Frederick O. Ishie  who died on 20th day of August 2023 at the age of 70 years, was the father of Dr.Mrs. Samagbeyi.    The late Frederick served as the general manager (Technical) of the Insurance Powerhouse, Standard Insurance Consultants.  Late Fred is an associate member of the Institute of Commercial Management Berkshire England and also an executive member of American Institute of Management, Boston.
