*DISCLAIMER ON THE ALLEGED WITHDRAWAL OF SUPPORT FOR ASIWAJU'S PRESIDENTIAL AMBITION BY REP. (PRINCE) ROTIMI AGUNSOYE* 

Our attention has been drawn to the report being peddled around by mischief makers to the effect that Rep. (Prince) Rotimi Agunsoye has pitched tent with the camp of the Honourable Minister of Interior Affairs, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola and has accordingly withdrawn his support for the aspiration of the APC National Leader and presidential hopeful, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

We wish to state categorically that malicious and outrightly ridiculous allegation that the Honourable Member representing Kosofe Federal Constituency has ordered his teeming followers not to attend meetings of any pro-Asiwaju group is a lie from the pit of hell and an attempt to drag him into the fray and in the process strain the long-standing relationship between him and Asiwaju. 

For the avoidance of doubt, Rep. (Prince) Rotimi Agunsoye is an unrepentant, an unapologetic and a trusted disciple of Asiwaju and will always remain so. Our principal and his benefactor have come a long way together and will not part ways now or anytime in the future on account of any political difference, let alone the ensuing rift between these two refered leaders of our party as being insinuated by hired pens acting out scripts of their pay masters.

Let it be known that Rep. (Prince) Rotimi Agunsoye aside bringing Tinubu Support Group is the foremost supporter of Asiwaju's presidential project in Kosofe Federal Constituency in his different capacities as the Grand Patron of BAT Project '23 and Bola Tinubu Support Group (BTSG), Patron of New Height Leadership Forum, and Buhari Campaign Organisation (BCO) 4 ABAT and mentor of others like South West Agenda (SWAGA) and Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu Movement (ABAT), having mobilized his followers for the groups in the three LGA/LCDAs under his jurisdiction.

How can this baseless allegation possibly be when it was only about a week ago on Thursday, 10th February, 2022 that the Coordinator of the Kosofe LGA Chapter of ABAT, Hon. Gbemisola Ketiku, met with some APC leaders from the local government in the MHR's Constituency Office situated at 8, Kujore Street, Ojota? The allegation is particularly laughable considering the fact that the man now being portrayed as a traitor working against his benefactor's aspiration was in the latter's entourage to the palace of Akarigbo of Remo on Sunday, 13th February, 2022.

In light of these overwhelming evidences to the contrary, we enjoin esteemed party members, the general public and gentlemen of the press to kindly ignore this latest propanganda in the sustained campaign of calumny against the distinguished personality of our principal. It is the handwork of rivals jostling for the same House of Reps ticket with him. Rather than sell themselves to the electorates, these undesirable elements are working round the clock to scuttle the candidature of the only opponent they perceive as a stumbling block on account of his towering status, unassailable popularity and impeccable track record.

We want to reiterate that Rep. (Prince) Rotimi Agunsoye is an Asiwaju loyalist through and through and a bridge builder who has always worked for the progress and unity of APC and as such can never be a partaker in any crisis that will divide the party. Kosofe Frontline and Naija Reporters should take this as a warning to refrain from publishing fake, libelous and defamatory news targeted at creating confusion and tarnishing the illustrious image of our principal, Rep. (Prince) Rotimi Agunsoye. 

The publishers of these fake news should do the needful: rebut and remove it from the public space within the next 24 hours or face the full wrath of the law.

Moyosore Ogunlewe was on Saturday buried in his hometown at the Frederick-Ishie Residence, Along Frederick-Ishie Crescent Umutu , Ukwuani Local Government Area of Delta State. The late Mr. Frederick O. Ishie  who died on 20th day of August 2023 at the age of 70 years, was the father of Dr.Mrs. Samagbeyi.    The late Frederick served as the general manager (Technical) of the Insurance Powerhouse, Standard Insurance Consultants.  Late Fred is an associate member of the Institute of Commercial Management Berkshire England and also an executive member of American Institute of Management, Boston.
