YOUR WELFARE PACKAGE IS UNPRECEDENTED

In what appears to be a meeting of the minds between the entire staff of Kosofe Local Government Area on Tuesday gives birth to mutual agreement on the welfare of the staff and dedication to duty by the Staff.
In his welcome address, the number one civil servant in the council, MBS. Arole  extols the virtues of the Executive Chairman, Barrister Moyosore Ogunlewe for his focus, leadership acumen, insightfulness and magnanimity.
He said  the end of last year packages for staff was unprecedented in Council, Arole thanked the Chairman on behalf of the Staff, saying they were highly contended but they are looking forward for more robust packages this year.
HOA used the occasion to warn the staff about lateness to offices. He explained that the resumption time remained 8.00am and closing  time 4.00pm, he counselled those who have become habitual late comers to adjust.
On the revenue of the Council, Arole admonished those who were in habit of sharp practices of diverting the acrued revenue of government to their personal use, warning them of dire consequence when they are caught, he advised them to stop as he would not intervene when such people are aprehended by the authority.
In her own remarks,  the Head of human resources, Mrs. Taiwo Odubeko Said since she had resumed in the council, she had observed some laxity in the way majority of staff carried out their assigned duties, which were clearly not in line with civil service procedure, such as absentism, lateness, closing before official time adding that anyone, who has somewhere to go must take official permission from superior officers.
She thanked the executive Chairman for his wonderful working condition and welfare packages he created for the entire workforce.
Speaking briefly after, the Chairman, National Union of Local Government Employees, (NULGE), Kosofe chapter, Comrade  (Prince) Ade Orababa was full of gratitude to the Council Chairman for his rapid response to issues concerning the staff. 
Orababa later came up with the shopping list of what they want from the Chairman. He opened up with the demand for a Staff bus to ease transportation challenge for staff, other demands included, identity Cards for staff, uniforms, raincoats and torchlights for Security men and drivers, repairing of the roof of Education department, provision of Computers, and celebration of  retirees which he explained have served the council but only 15 of them could be honoured while 16 were yet to be celebrated.

The leader of the legislative arm, Hon. Idowu Oluloro in his contributions, appealed to the entire staff to pay homage to the Chairman for his kind gesture to the workforce in Kosofe for the love he had showed to them so far. Oluloro said barely seven months to his tenure he had recorded more than 23 achievements.
He recalled that in their first discussion about Staff welfare before they formally resumed,  he told him to  improve the staff welfare which he agreed on and thus approved the sum of one million Naira as increment in staff welfare. The legislative head equally said before the end of 2021, another discussion they had was increment in staff allowances which he increased to ten thousand Naira each to take care of staff, NULGE and other political office holders. He said further that he distributed  more than 400 bags of rice  with groundnut oil. Oluloro said Barrister Ogunlewe has a kind mind.
In his response, the Executive Chairman, thanked the entire staff of Kosofe for their cooperation  and appreciation,  he specially thanked the retirees who served the Government and were being honoured that day.  Ogunlewe said what they were doing for  retirees today was to appreciate their meritorious services to the government.
He assured the staff that    the council would intensify its efforts to increase the revenue base so that they could achieve what  they have promised. Ogunlewe said though like oliver twist, Nulge kept asking for more, but patience was the name of the game, adding that he would try his utmost best to rebuild the entire Council. He explained further that NULGE has shown maturity and understanding. He lauded the entire staff for their cooperation and 
perseverance. Ogunlewe said workers' welfare would not be compromised
Council's boss congratulated the three devoted staff for the year 2021, the best male staff was Kehinde Tijani and best female staff was Egbagbe Adejoke while Doris Chimezie was the best revenue staff.
Certificate of excellence was presented to the management staff and Nulge.
