The palace of Ologudu of Ogudu Kingdom was agog yesterday with fanfare as the Ologudu of Ogudu, HRM Oba Najimudeen Fashola marked 100 days on the throne of his forefathers.
The revered traditional ruler, who is 79, ascended the throne on February 10th, 2022.
It was celebrations galore as the rich cultural heritage of the Ogudu kingdom was on display with cultures of other people across the country that graced the occasion.
The Ogudu land was agog with festivities for the five-day event to commemorate the 100 days on the throne of the royal father.
From the entrance of the community, the presence of security personnel stationed at every strategic point showed the importance of the royal celebration.
Every household in the community was in a joyous mood with music blaring from every corner with a commemorative banner to indicate the celebration of their revered King.
Speaking on the importance of the celebration, Oba Fashola thanked God for His guidance on the throne in the last 100 days.
He attributed his peaceful reign for the 100 days to the support of his loyal council chiefs, Kosofe Local Government chairman and the good people of Ogudu.
Meanwhile, the five days coronation witnessed the installation of the honorary chief, Oluomo of Ogudu, Chief Lateef Fashola(Aka LA).
The fanfare had in attendance, the Secretary to the Local Government, Hon. Abdulfatai Gbadebo who represented the Executive Chairman of Kosofe Local Government and accompanied by Councillor representing Ogudu Ward G, Hon. Lekan Adebare, Supervisor for Works, Hon. Taiwo Balogun, Supervisor for Chieftaincy, Hon. Gbenga David, Head of Information, Mrs. Adewale Toluwalase, Head of Unit, Chieftaincy, Mrs. Oke-Odutolu Funmilayo and supported by a coterie of Kosofe Press Crew.
The sensational fuji musician, Alhaji Sefiu Alao Adekunle Cardozo added colour to the royal day with his poetic music.
