OJORA ROYAL FAMILY PAYS ROYAL VISIT TO OLOWORO OF OWORO
At the behest of the paramount traditional ruler of Ijora Kingdom, Oba Fatai Aremu Aromire, the Ojora Royal family on Tuesday paid a royal visit to the Oloworo of Oworoshoki Kingdom Oba Babatunde Saliu (ELEBO II) at his palace.
The palace of the paramount traditional ruler of Oworonshoki Kingdom was agog with hundred of Ojora Royal family comprising of White Cap Chiefs, Women and the Ejiwa Elegba.
The Whitecap Chiefs were led by the Lisa Abaraoje of Ijora Kingdom Chief Akeem Ajadi Ojora.
The Chief host Oba Babatunde Saliu, members of Bashir Oloruntoyin Royal Family, the palace Chiefs, Women and Youth of Oworonshoki were treated to dulcet traditional songs and eulogies of Ijora Kingdom sang by the Ejiwa Elegba who were mainly youth.
A special prayer was also offered for the long, prosperous and peaceful reign of the Elebo II of Oworonshoki Kingdom.
In an interview with newsmen the Baale of Olojowon town in Ijora Kingdom, Chief Tajudeen Ajibola Odunsi explained that they were directed by Olojora of Ijora to pay homage and show their support for Oba Babatunde Saliu for ascending to the throne of his ancestors.
Chief Odunsi revealed that Oba Babatunde Saliu is a bonafide member of Ojora Royal Family by the virtue of his paternal grandmother being a daughter of the Ojora family.
He added that during the reign of the departed monarch of Oworonshoki Kingdom, Oba Bashir Oloruntoyin Saliu, they usually visited the palace due to their affinity.
