2022 INDEPENDENCE DAY MESSAGE

CELEBRATING NIGERIA AT 62, KOSOFE ON THE PATH TO GREATNESS.
It is indeed a great pleasure for me on this auspicious occasion marking the celebration of the 62nd Anniversary of our attainment of Nationhood.

Today, we celebrate with pride the 62nd anniversary of our country's sovereignty. Our accomplishments have been attained through the collaboration of the public, private and social sectors at home and in the international arena, and the contributions of our heroes past and the strives of every other.
.
We have endured and demonstrated resilience through the periods of coloniasm, slavery and post-emancipation. In the midst of our struggles, we have experienced tremendous success (in economic and political stability, agriculture, health and social services) demonstrating an indomitable zeal and a compelling desire to excel against the odds.

Independence is a day for us  to rejoice, reflect and take stock of what  we have done  so far. Where we need to adjust , where we got it right,  we keep and where  we got it wrong, we amend.

As a local government Administrator, we have done our best in line with the best practices. You would  agree with me  that  we have been able to achieve 70% of our manifesto both in infrastructural and human capital development.
Our score card  is undisputably excellent in all ramifications, and Kosofe  local government will continue to soar higher and higher.

Let me use this occasion to remind our members of staff that loyalty and dedication to duty is the Hallmark of good staff.  We need your cooperation to achieve all our set objectives and goals.

As we remember our national heroes today, let's renew our pledge and our unreserved commitment to always uphold our national unity so that we can live together in peace and harmony.

May the flag of our country always fly higher and higher as we mark our 2022 Independence Day.

Hon. Barr. Moyosore Adedoyin Ogunlewe.
Executive Chairman, Kosofe Local Government.

October 1, 2022.
