COUNTDOWN TO GENERAL ELECTIONS: FIVE STAR AYOOLA TAKES PVC COLLECTION CRUSADE TO KOSOFE LOCAL GOVERNMENT
- Says Tinubu will replicate Lagos State success in Abuja as Nigerian President if elected
- As Barrister Moyo Ogunlewe, Kosofe Council boss extols the political goodwill for non-indigenes in the grassroots
The continuous drive for PVC collection by the Directorate of Ethnic Groups, led by Hon. Fatai Adekunle Ayoola, berthed at Kosofe local government, recently.
The group was received by various ethnic associations in the local government, and which comprises of South-South, Igala, Arewa, North central, and Igbo tribe among others.
Addressing participants at the events, Ayoola who doubles as executive chairman of Ajeromi-Ifelodun local government, said his group’s mission was to ensure that residents in Kosofe local government, especially the non-indigenes, collect their Permanent Voters Card {PVC}.

Speaking further, the Lagos State director for ethnic nationalities at the Presidential and Governorship Campaign Council, said it was important for other ethnic nationalities in Lagos to collect their PVC, and vote for the All Progressives Congress {APC}, at the general elections holding in February and March, 2023. “Collect your PVC and vote for Tinubu and Sanwo-Olu,” he said.
On the Muslim-Muslim ticket controversy, Hon. Ayoola maintained that the decision for a Muslim-Muslim ticket was mainly for political benefits and nothing more.

“Those who are trying to create unnecessary religious chaos should be made to understand that the Muslim-Muslim ticket was a political tactics by the APC and nothing more,” he said.

He advised those in attendance to continue the awareness from the day’s event in their respective communities.

Corroborating Ayoola’s position, executive chairman of Kosofe local government, Barrister Moyo Ogunlewe, said the all-inclusive governance by former Governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu had been replicated in the grassroots.

“I have people from other ethnic groups in my cabinet, and this is one of the many benefits the APC government is giving to non-indigenes in Lagos State,” he said.

The lanky council boss urged participants in attendance to payback the political good will of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Lagos by voting APC at next month’s presidential election.

“Asiwaju had done enough to include non-indigenes into the political administration of Lagos State, you should return that favour by voting him as President, and Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, for a second term in office as Governor Lagos State,” he added.
