KOSOFE NULGE GIVES ROSY FAREWELL TO SEVEN RETIRING STAFF.

It was a fun galore at the year 2022 Workers forum get- together / sendforth party of Kosofe Local Government Council, courtesy of the Kosofe branch of National Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) . 
The Prayer Session/ colourful get together party for the year 2022  which was held  at the Council Secretariat, Ojota involved rosy farewell for seven members of staff who have served the council meritoriously well. These retirees include Mrs. Adewuyi Mosunmola Josephine, Mr. Taofeek Adewale Adeyemi,  Mrs. Adetayo Modupeola Olawunmi, Mrs. Moriamo Aweni Popoola, Mr Abiodun Ezekiel Akinmolayan, Mr. Isiaka Jimoh Balogun and Mrs. Victoria Sauli Adesanya who was unavoidably absent. 
In his solidarity message, the Executive Chairman, Hon. Barr. Moyosore Adedoyin Ogunlewe who was represented by his Vice Hon. Oluwole Sosanya thanked the entire workforce for their unflinching support, and their maturity, sincerity, devotion, dedication, loyalty and perseverance which the staff have displayed for the period his team have taken the mantle of leadership in Kosofe. Ogunlewe added that the success card his Administration had recorded would not have been possible if not for uncommon solidarity and support of the workers, this has culminated in catapulting Kosofe into number one local Council in Lagos State. The Council boss congratulated the workers forum for their great impact. He also thanked the dedicated staff that are retiring. He said their input are really appreciated  and would be sorely missed. He wished them happy retiring lives. 
Lauding the virtues and the contributions of the retirees, the head of Administration, Mrs. A.Ogabi thanked the workers forum for their dedication and unity of purpose which have remained their article of faith. She advised them and the leadership of the forum to continue charting a beautiful  course that would place the council at the apex of greatness. 
She extolled the virtues of the Council Chairman, Barrister Moyosore Ogunlewe who she said has brought a lot of innovations to the Council. She  thanked the Chairman for his welfare packages to the entire workforce. 
She prayed for the retirees advising them to use the period of their retirement to relax after dutiful long services. 

In his exhortatory message, the Head of Service who was represented by the Director, Post Service at the  Public Service Office, Alausa, ikeja, Mr. Abiola Ayorinde congratulated  the retirees and explained to them that retirement was the period of final disengagement from public service. He urged them to ensure that all the necessary documents that would facilitate the quick payment of their emoluments and other retirement benefits are put together on time. He advised them to engage in exercise, eat good and nourished foods including good fruits so as to keep healthy and young. 

The Chairman of NULGE, kosofe branch, Comrade Prince Ade Orababa on behalf of the entire workers thanked the Chairman, Barrister Ogunlewe as a workers' friendly  person. He listed some beautiful welfare  packages the chairman has dolled out to staff within the space of 18 months he took over. He however,  brought another long shopping 
list of requests which included  staff bus, new uniforms for drivers, interlocking of the secretariat floor, upward review of yearly cash gift from #10,000 to #20, 000 among others. 

Comrade (Prince) Ade Orababa thanked specially the retirees for their untainted services to the Council and said the gifts were the token of the forum appreciation of their contributions to the council and wished them happy retiring life, adding that this would be the 9th edition of retirement programmes he has presided over. 

The highlight of the event was the presentation of plagues of honour to two best staff for the year 2022: Mrs. Grace Ibeh for the best female Staff and Mr. Odunayo  Adesanya as the best Male Staff..
