Like Shogun, the Japanese warlord, Moyosore Adedoyin Ogunlewe, a Barrister at Law and the Executive Chairman of Kosofe Local Government had led a great battle in the last 2 years and in a chest thumbing narrative. Ogunlewe unwind his achievements that covered infrastructures development and welfare of people generally.

 'We have constructed 11 Roads Project In Kosofe', he explained. 'These roads include

The Council's boss said further that his Administration being amenable to the need for mobility have made provision for the

Purchasing of New Bus for Market Men and Women Association in Kosofe.

Purchasing of Four Sienna Buses for the use of the Area Offices. Provision of Sienna Bus for the  Press crew,

Provision of Sienna Bus for the Executive Chairman’s Office.

Provision of Toyota Hiace bus for the Legislative Arms of the Council.

Purchasing of  motorbikes for efficient delivery and dispatching of administrative assignments,  Purchasing of four Highlander SUV vehicles for Council's sundry assignments.

Purchasing of seven Toyota Rav 4. 

Purchasing of thirteen  Toyota Corolla  saloon cars for Supervisors and Senior Special Assistants to the Executive Chairman.

Purchasing of NULGE Aluta Jet for the workers.

 

Speaking further, Ogunlewe explained

'Our Administration did not relent in its effort to ensure that we touch every areas of needs. Our Construction works took off immediately we assumed office.

To God  be the glory, we embarked on  series of Construction works as  Primary Health Care Centre Ohamu PHC in collaboration with Access Bank Plc at Oworoshoki Ward A, 

Construction of newly Customary Court and Administrative Offices.

Massive grading of roads at Mechanic Village, Ogudu

General renovation of Local Government Secretariat

Construction of perimeter fence at Council Secretariat to forestall encroachment.

Painting of all block of offices at the Local Government Secretariat

Construction of modern bio-digester soakaway.

Construction of Scaffolding of water tank at the rear back of the Secretariat.

Installation of security light at the Council Secretariat. 

Re-roofing of damaged roofs  within the Local Government Secretariat.

Construction of Water Fountain for the beautification of the Local Government Secretariat among others", he said. 

He also embarked on

Deworming Exercise for all the  Public Primary School Pupils in Kosofe Local Government.

1,900 benefitted in free  eyes screening test which revolved round comprehensive diagnosis of ailments associated with sight such as cataract, glaucoma  with free eye glasses.

"We also went out to clear our canals and drainages to prevent flood ravaging our various communities under our environmental services department" he added.

Barrister Ogunlewe recalled other glittering achievements as Education, where he gave out 150 and 300  free GCE E-pin forms in 2021and 2022, He also ran free tutorial for the prospective candidates. He gave out 1,000 free Jamb forms last year.

He  touched the health sector where he purchased a state- of- the -Arts  Ambulance for the use of the health centers and for the people by dialling 09093000011. in addition to Construction and renovation of various Primary Health centres at lfako, Oworonshoki and Ogudu.

During his questions and answers time with the media, Ogunlewe explained that he had made provision for food  palliatives for the people of Kosofe as a way of cushioning the effect of fuel subsidy removal

He debunked the insinuation that the Council's federal allocation has increased to the extend that they have enough fund. He said the council was saddled with 23 items which would be funded from Council's allocation as teachers salaries and pension.

On the issue of demolition at ifako, he said he paid an official visit to the site and had ordered the demolition to cease.

Thanking the media for their help and partnership, he said he would now redouble his efforts in ensuring that infrastructures and people's welfare are key in the next lap of his Administration.
